CCL

33.21

na

Carnival Corp. (CCL)

CCL - CCL, I got to tell you... When I was doing my chart books this weekend I hit on two stocks... I hit on Barnes & Noble (BKS) and CCL... Both of these have outside yields, both of them are believers, people feel like these companies have come to the end of the world... I think CCL is going to take share... I like CCL... I think that people are still going to go on cruises, they're still going to go on vacations and you should buy CCL.

RIO

30.65

na

CVRD (RIO)

RIO - RIO, I like Chesapeake (CHK)... Look, I just said earlier that I think CHK is back exactly where at the level I want to buy, exactly... Now, RIO is more complicated... Buy, buy, buy... RIO has chosen to raise a lot of money to make an acquisition... I don't like that... I wish they'd make the acquisiton and then I'll tell you to pull the trigger... Until then, ever since they made and raised that money, I have been skeptical of RIO...skeptical... which makes me sound like a dignitary.

GPRO

51.58

na

Gen-Probe Inc. (GPRO)

GPRO - The biotech companies are going to be flushed with money... This company is bottomed, it's the right spot... We like medical device companies... We like companies that sell into biotech... This stock has bottomed... I want to buy it right here...

TC

16.96

na

Thompson Creek Metals (TC)

TC - Yup, Molybdenum has crashed in the interim... And this is one that I believe will come back but how about saying this... I got this wrong... I do believe that TC has fundamental values we heard about it in Erin's show this morning, on Squawk on the Street... I am not going to give up on TC... But understand, every mineral and resource stock has just gotten absolutely clubbed here, this one too... But I am sticking by TC because I like Molybdenum....

MDU

32.21

na

MDU Resources Group Inc. (MDU)

MDU - Yes, it's got pipeline construction... That reminds me of the stock we recommended yesterday, Quanta Services Inc. (PWR*)... It's got natural gas distribution, that reminds me of Williams Companies, Inc. (WMB) and Spectra Energy Corp. (SE), which should both be bought... I want to own that stock... The more I think about it, the more I suggest pulling the trigger on it myself for my charitable trust... That is a really good play MDU Resources, perhaps the best one in the lightning round.

DPZ

10.88

na

Dominos Pizza Inc. (DPZ)

DPZ - Listen, pal, that one's too hard for me... I got to tell you, every single raw cost there is difficult... You know what I like... I like YUM... I like YUM because they got Pizza Hut... I think that it's too hard to own DPZ...

YUM

Yum! Brands (YUM)

WES

15.22

na

Western Gas Partners Lp (WES)

WES - Gushan Environmental (GU) is too speculative, even though I like Gushan... But I'm going to go with WES, just a great old business like Enterprise Products Partners LP (EPD)... I do not mind owning some boring stocks right now in the oil and gas patch, that's one of them... I believe oil, I said we have two days decline, I say we reverse tomorrow... I like those stocks... Buy them on weakness... I sell financials on strength...

Thumbs up - indicates he would buy the stock or, at the very least, not sell the stock.  We do our best to interpret Jim's opinion on stocks, as we think it is indicated by his comments during the show.  Please read his comments to decide for yourself.

Thumbs down - indicates he has said not to buy or to sell the stock, based on his comments  We do our best to interpret Jim's opinion on stocks, as we think it is indicated by his comments during the show.  Please read his comments to decide for yourself.

Back up the truck - indicated by Jim, when he says the stock is so good, that he would do a 'mon-back' on the stock... In other words, this is the sound someone would say to a truck driver, "Come on back... " as he is "backing up the truck" to load up on his cargo.  Translation for buying stocks:  This recommendation by Jim indicates that, after you do your own homework on the stock, you should feel comfortable loading up on it, as it is in a good position to be bought at this point.

Stumped. - Of the 2,000+ stocks that Jim Cramer has in his head, for which he has an informed opinion, he sometimes comes across a caller with a stock he does not know well enough to opine on...  He then indicates he is stumped and will have to come back to it, after he does some homework of his own on the stock.  This usually occurs during the Lightning Round, when Jim does not know in advance who is calling, or what their stock question is about.

Definitions of key phrases used by Jim, known as "Cramerisms":

Definition:   'Pull the trigger' is Jim's phrase for making the decision at that point to trade - either to 'buy' or to 'sell' (although he usually uses the phrase for buying), as if to say you should feel comfortable enough to make the final decision without looking back...

Definition:   'Ring the Register' is Jim's phrase for selling a stock, and making it a final sale, that you should not look back on.  Put it behind you.

Definition:  'Let It Come In' indicates how you may wait for it to pull back, or have the stock price come down briefly, as your chance (after letting it come in) to buy the rest of your position (i.e., total number of shares you own in that stock).

Definition:  'backing it up' or 'doing a 'mon-back' is Jim's phrase for the metaphor of backing up a truck to load up on a stock by buying it.  'Mon-back is short for the imaginary worker saying, 'Come on back...' as the truck is backing up to receive its load... Notice that we use the little truck icon to indicate where Jim has mentioned this.  Translation for buying stocks:  This recommendation by Jim indicates that, after you do your own homework on the stock, you should feel comfortable loading up on it, as it is in a good position to be bought at this point.
