[Beginning of
Cramer's
verbatim
comments for
this segment...]
In this segment, Jim
takes 2-4 callers
and asks them to
submit five stocks
that make up their
largest positions in
their portfolio.
He then comments on
whether or not they
are properly
diversified...
See callers'
portfolios below...
Jim:
When I tell
you, you
should not
put all of
your stocks
in one
basket… in
other words,
you should
not have
everything
in one
sector… even
if you are
positive
that it will
go up… as I
am about
natural gas,
as I am
about the
banks, as I
am about a
lot of tech
even the
internet
tsunami… no,
that would
be wrong…
you know
why… because
diversification
is the only
free lunch…
it is the
only way to
protect
yourself
from the
downside…
that is why
every
Wednesday we
play Am I
Diversified?…
you call me
you tell me
your top
five
holdings…
and I tell
you if your
portfolio is
diversified
enough… or
maybe you
need a
little mix
up.

I want to know if I
am diversified...
Stocks are:
Nordic American Tanker (NAT),
Energy Transfer Partners L.P.
(ETP),
Agnico-Eagle Mines Ltd. (AEM),
IBM (IBM), and my latest big addition to my portfolio is
Bank of America (BAC*)?
Jim: Dave, has put together a monster good portfolio for all seasons… look at what he has got… okay, Agnico-Eagle, Sean Boyd, I told you that they delivered a great number, that is exactly what you want to own when gold crosses $1000... Nordic American Tanker, that is Herbjornsen, you know he is my absolute favorite in the tanker game… Energy Transfer, what a monster yield, you cannot beat it other than like
Kinder Morgan Energy Partners
(KMP)… Bank of America, we have been featuring here endlessly, why, because it is one cheap stock… IBM, down a couple today, take down one to buy it… I got a tech, I got a bank, I got a pipeline, I have got a gold, and I have got a shipping company… I have diversification.
| Verdict:
YES, Caller's portfolio IS diversified. |

Stocks are:
International Game Technology
(IGT),
Manitowoc Co. Inc. (MTW),
Global Cash Access Holdings, Inc. (GCA),
Service Corp. International
(SCI), and my accidental high yielder
B&G Foods Inc. (BGS)?
Jim: Man, I tell you this is one interesting portfolio… that tells me that Adam has done a lot of
homework… these are hard to find, out stocks… first of all B&G pickles, this is a company that, by the way, the whole time has paid a good yield, really good, and you are right, and my friend Matt Horwich who does my forensic accounting for me, he has been behind that one the whole way, we had them on the show, I think that is terrific… Service Corp, funeral, that is right, that is a death services, which you know the last I looked is a pretty decent business… okay, GCA, this is a very tough one, this is called Global Cash Access Holdings, I do not know it well other than to know that it is in the money transfer business, which is all we need for Am I Diversified?… IGT is making a big comeback, I like WMS even more, all of these casino companies are trying to get new people into casinos because business is bad, my friend Brian Ashenberger who runs “Breakout Stock” (at
TheStreet.com) says IGT good,
WMS Industries Inc. (WMS) better… Manitowich, not happy with that at all, Adam is going to have to some worries, that is a machinery company that is just getting pantsed by Caterpillar and everybody else … alright, so we got a machinery company, we got a gaming company, we got cash management, we will call that funeral management company, and a food company… Adam knows how to play the game.
| Verdict:
YES, Caller's portfolio IS diversified. |
